Great AFV club, I think it is one of the easiest model I have ever built, excellent molding!!!

Now I am still thinking if I should wait for the SLAT

Comments r surely welcome!

ALSO a nice comparison between M1128 and the legacy Leopard 2

actually the fitting is JUST excellent, be honest, I find it even better than Tamiya model. The layout of parts are reasonable, but since it is quite detail and tries to break down the detail parts as many as possible, so many of the parts are broken when before they got to my hand... anyway most of them are hand rails or handles and I believe they will be replaced by metal wires...

So far it is very good!

Nice work! I wouldn´t wait for the slat armor. When some company brings it out you can allways build a new one. Keep up the work!

Thanks for posting mine is on the Way from Hong Kong I hope.

I have heard that none of these have that slat armor?

Is there not anti-skid on these things?

Thanks again

Nope, no Stryker kit comes with slat armor. You have to but one of the PE kits for that.

Yes, the actual vehicles do have the anti-slip coating. No kit comes with the anti-slip on them though. Here is an easy way to add it. No idea why they haven't added it as they updated later models.

Happy modeling.

Mine came in yesterday. The molding is excellent and I have down loaded Terry A's review from Perth MM. One nice thing is the kit comes with a copy of the box art that could be framed.

There will be a review of the kit here shortly with a few reference photos. No non-skid texture on the kit. I think it will be a long time until you see slat for the MGS since it is quite different for the MGS due to the turret.

yeah the kit doesnt come with the rough surface texture so I am planning to add for myself. When there are plenty of ways we can try for doing that, I did have tried the surfacer approach for my leopard, those the effect is quite good (in terms of texture roughness realism of that scale and the ease of use), it does come with a really deadly side effect, that is killing my airbrush!!! I am now trying an new way to do that, hopefully I can comeplete it within late next week so that I can show the end result here.

BTW I am wondering if anyone has tried the ultra-sonic airbrush cleaner, wondering if it is worth that money.

Okay Gino another thing to do.

I have heard that this M-1128 does not use slat armor.

As stated above, no, it is not. All Strykers in Iraq, including MGS, have Slat Armor installed.
