hey gang ive started to build the academy m113 "fitter"
ive managed to gather alot of reference on this vehicle i really cant wait to get stuck in with the vehicle
the kit is basically being built out of the box so i followed the instructions when it comes to building the interior. the interior is pritty much finished it went in like a dream besides the axel on the front stopping the interior walls fitting correctly.

i didnt glue the walls in around the engine making it easy to paint later on then i decided not to have the engine on show so it doesnt matter about cutting the axel away
heres what i mean about no glueing the walls in

i currently have a viral infection so im not being productive at the moment so you'll have to hold fire for a wile for more progress on the build

Looking good so far James.
Just remember that even if you don't plan to have the engine bay visible, if you're going to be able to see the interior at all, eg. through the driver's hatch and/or rear ramp, you still need those "walls " in there to separate the engine bay from the rest of the interior.

Which version are you building it as; Aussie in Vietnam, or Israeli? The Aussie one needs some additions, similar to your Aussie M113A1 FSV. I'm sure some of the Aussies here can tell you which ones to add.

Very nice kit. But australian army used cammo , on their M113 fitter tracks , after the Vietnam war.
