As some of you may well know I am building a Russian tank destroyer by the name of SU-85.
Or at least I’m trying to
Now the manual and the box-art show a paint scheme with a white stripe on the side of the upper Casemate structure. These were supposed to be used in the push towards Berlin. and according to the manual on vehicle 802 of the 1st artillery battery.
here are some pics.
Boxart:
and the manual:
Now I’ve seen a lot of white markings on the T-34’s but none on the SU-85 . so I was wondering if you have some reference to this paint scheme.
Tnx in advance

Martyn has provided a photo with a SU 100 with the Berlin white stripe. There are some good photos of SU-85s in the Frontline Illustration Soviet SP Artillery book (Excellent if you can find it). This photo I think is in the book!
Are you building OOTB or AMS route?

tnx a lot guys
the picture of the SU-100 proves that there were SU with the markings. so there would have probably survived some 85's as well.
does anyone know if that book is available in english? since my russian is quite bad count to three, yes , no and that's about it
building is going to be OOTB since its my first model. and wil probably be my second as well. i'm planning to build a Berlin street with these to models on it.
I will be adding some stuff to the kits such as home-made towcables and small pieces of 'glass' in the periscopes.
