In a previous post, I saw a recommendation to paint vinyl "metal" tracks with brown oxide (folkart plaid) as a base coat.

I have tried to find some of this paint online or at my hobby/craft store and it appears to have been discontinued.

Forgive me for asking, but I do not know how to search these threads to find that particular post.

What can I use for base coating vinyl tracks instead of brown oxide?

I would prefer a particular repeatable color as opposed to having to mix every time I go at tracks.

Thanks
Joe

Hey Joe, Try Krylon Camoflage Brown as your base coat for the tracks. Comes in a big spray can. Just use a couple of very lite coats. You can get it at Walmart, Kmart, or most hardware stores. It will last you along time. Hope this helps Just make sure your tracks are super clean
