I can never remember the name of the trailer...anyhow, I finally finished up my FAMO with trailer. It was a commision I got and took about 54 weeks to finish. What a ordeal. It is a beautiful kit, but there is SO much to do with it, even when not worrying about keeping parts movable.

I added the following to the kit:
Verlinden PE tool set
Tank Workshop Panzer IV Transmission
CMK Panzer II Engine
Tamiya Kubelwagen repair set
Elephant tow cable for a Stug III (worthless, basically a piece of picture hanging wire)
MV Lenses for all six light posts.

I added a scratchbuilt tarp tot he rear of the FAMO.

And to all working or looking at this kit, those decals for the rear fenders are every bit the nightmare they look, and I have worked with some scary decals. Get them down right the first time, put the end ones on before the middle one, and then sit down and have a beer while they dry, 'cause your nerves will be shot! Of course I used Solvaset from the outset, so my work time was about 5 seconds...but it got those decals to conform like they were paint.

That looks great, Jacques. Good work on the figures, too, and thanks for the decals tips. I may end up just painting those stripes on mine.

Thanks for all the compliments...I thought I would put it up since you don't see too many of these things built (I wonder why?) Anyone who has this kit done should be part of a support group!

anyhow, I mailed it off to the guy I built it for, here is hoping it survivies in one piece, so no diorama ideas, or even load ideas. I do not think he is going to put a beastie on it, so there you go.

Sorry the pics are only so/so...the damned thing is so long you have to stand damned near 10 feet away to get it all in the picture...yeesh. If you zoom in to get some good detail, you feel like you are missing so much, it is hard to keep concentrated on small parts when taking pics. I have had similar problems at shows with big armor kits or dio's...

And yes, 12 figures to build and paint is quite a challenge in itself. Pace yourself guys, 54 weeks to work on this thing is a pretty good shuffle.

And I do have 1 kit with the FAMO and Trailer waiting for me in the workroom, along with two other FAMO's, a M26 and 2 Dragon Wagon's...I will be working on WWII haulers till I die! ...ah, but what a way to die.

I do not respond that often but I must say that this is a fine job. The picture in the thread does not do the model justice. Nice figures and small detail.

Just when I think I am doing decent kits, someone puts pictures up of a build that makes mine look like a 3 year old built them! THANKS JAQUES!
Just kidding, brilliant work, hope to see more of your kits posted.
