I may be bringing up an old topic..But can you fellas confirm that the only MOLLE kits available are from HobbyFan, Real Model and Goffy Model?

If so, which versions are they.?

I have Hobbyfans kit (MOLLE II?), so can anyone post pics of Real Model's ones-the set intended for the Stryker and M 1.

Where can I get Goffy models' kit from?

Thanks

If you're talking about torsos with IBA, the Trumpeter CH47-D crew also comes with two troopers whose torsos can be fitted inside vinyl vests. The set comes with a pretty nice array of gear to include two Camelbaks.

Sorry, I should have said MOLLE packs what they carry on AFVs. Thanks for the trumpeter heads up though.

The Real Model sets MOLLE packs look a tad too small, and the Goffy set just looks wrong.
The best set imho is the Hobby Fan version. Pricey, but looks every bit correct.

Really? I thought they would be good...If not--that would leave me with only Hobbyfan's set-which I have but they lack other items and there's only 3 variations!

What to do...

They may look wrong to me (Real Model/Goffy), but they'll do if you want more variation. You're right when it comes to the HF set; 3-4 variants isn't much.

No, the link shows the last iteration of rucksack before MOLLE gear came out. This is a rucksack that was being tested in the mid '80s (I know because my Platoon Sergeant at the time was one of the testers). and was intended to replace the ALICE system. Currently there is an ACU pattern ruck being issued as part of the Rapid Fielding Initiative for the Army. I don't know for sure if the Marines are using it or not.

Dear Nick,

I am currently building USMC LAV in 1/35 from +/- 2007 and I was wondering about the same issue. Finally I decided to use both the Goffy´s CFP-90 and Real Model´s MOLLE system from Stryker´s update set (BTW: they do not seem to me small at all).

The Goffy´s type looks very similar to modern USMC´s bags now used. It is only to colour it right.

Regards

Jiri

i hope this helps, besides the the invasion timeline, rucks and the sorts are not "Normally" carried on the outside of the strykers, aussie lavs, 3 acr vehicles (04/05) or the marines i had worked with.
we operate out of FOBs so their is no operational requirement to carry rucks, fuel cans, or water cans. in the strykers we would stuff our sleeping bags in the hell hole. under the seats, or where the LRAS mount used to be.
what you would see outside the wire, would be assault back packs on a couple guys, camelbacks on some. i used a camelback mule that was black for most of the raids i conducted or when conducting sniper ops. anything longer we used tactical tailor 3 day assault packs in coyote or green for anything over a couple days.

most of the MOLLE stuff never left the room or the connex

Thank you guys for your input.. It will certainly come in handy for future builds on LAVs.

The thing is that I'm building on commission two Strykers, two Hummers and about to start on four USMC M1s. I want to get the "gear " right so if available kits aren't going to do it, then I'm going to have to start sculpting and casting in resin sooner or later since I've a load of US armor in the line up.

Take a look at my AAV..although I'm grateful that Hobbyfan and others have produced MOLLE kits .. I wished I could have really loaded it up with more of them in different "styles".
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/115986&page=3
And to think I have another 5 AAVs in the box..!

So instead of just complaining..I would sculpt my own--provided not much is out there first!
