Hello men: do you have any infos about this variant? I know Georgian Army used this version in the last conflict in Ossetia.
Which are its features?
Do you have any pics of it?
Thanks in advance.

I am almost positive that the "simi" was a name, like naming your tank "judy" , I have seen the photo in question, email me at [email protected] and I can shoot some your way.
the tank in question is a t-72AV , meaning it uses original kontact reactive armor , only it doesnt have the "b" style turret ( super dolly parton) . and the reactive armor bricks are placed on a wedge shaped mounting system as opposed to being bolted directly on the turret ala t-72B ( or m2 as the box art on the dragon/dml kit says) .
model point used to make a great AV conversion.
email me if you need more info.
best of luck

Which are its features
New optics such as thermal imager for commander, passive infra-red channel for gunner and IR viewer for driver
CO station received quite large flat screen display for viewing GPS map
GPS suite
New Radio communications package.
Apparently, they did not address issue of T-72's ancient fire controls and absence of ballistics computer at all.
Judging by various TV news videos there are also some kind of ramps or rails on the back of updated T-72A's and M's turrets.

Thank you men. Now I know more. Cheers.
So this should be your Simi: I've always thought SIM 1 was a really variant, not a nickname
