Hi guys,
I am planning a diorama including Canadian soldiers with bicycles in northwest Europe. I know they landed with the bikes on D-Day, but how long after are they known to have been in use? Did they last into Holland?
Thanks,
Daniel

Many of the vets I have talked to from the SD&G's (9th Brigade) who went ashore on that day
tell me they through all their bikes into a pile just off the beach. They could'nt believe the joy
on so many French childrens faces at the fact they were "throwing" the bikes away. Many of
these children never had bikes before that day.
