Does anyone have any info on the 1/35 Tamiya M113 APC CA140 Kit? Reviews, pics (in progress or finished), and personal opinion would be great.
Thanks,
Evan

Isn't that the old Tamiya M113 kit which is an A1? Of course the Academy offerings are superior in detail and they are A2 models which is more common these days.
If the Tamiya kit is cheap then it's a decent base for a conversion.

It is a very old kit, 1970s, and shows it. It isn't horrible, but the Academy M113s are much better. The track is featureless on the inside face and too narrow. The details are not very crisp on the interior, and it is missing a lot compared to the Academy ones. It builds into an early M113 from the Vietnam era. As you can probably tell, I recommend the Academy ones.

If I remember right, the Tamiya kit is an M113 (gasoline engine) not an A1 (diesel engine).

Jawohl! That she is....get the Academy kit. Tamiya will work for you, but Academy is a better kit.
