This is my second attempt at building armour. This is Academys 1/25th scale kit. straight OTB. I don't know how accurate this is but it was fun doing it. The camo was done free hand by brush,I'm not to good at the airbrush yet ,need a lkittle more practice. I tried the dot method on this with oils and i think I over did it a little. There's a lot of great artists on this site, so I'm hoping to get some good constructive feed back Thanks for looking.

Frank the build and painting look good. One thing and others who know better can chime in, I think your Balkencruz should be on the sides and not the front. Nice job though. Wha'ts on tap next?

Hey Frank,
Your paint job and weathering look good.
The chipping and subtle damage on the Panther is nice.
The decals do look to be strangely placed though.
The cross on the glacis plate and on the hull sides are odd looking and the turret numbers look to be set too high up.
Hope you take this a constructive feedback and not as criticism!!
Cheers

James, John, and Jim,

thanks for your coments. Yeah those crosses are in the wrong place, I messed up the ones that were supposed to go on the front sides so the ones that were left were to big to fit in the right place so I took the liberty of placing them where they should'nt go. Their decals are not the greatest, I had a hard time setting them. John you'er right about the turret #'s they do look like they'er set wrong . Thanks for pointing that out. I.ve got Trumpeter"s 1/16 th Scale T34/85 on my kitchen table now , so thats going to be my next project. I was hoping dragon would be out with their new Tiger 1 W/zimm..to be my next endeavor, but I guess I'll have to wait on that one . Thanks again guys for your help.

Not a bad job overall for your second attempt. Like how your camo job turned out, as well as the weathering on the Panther and her tracks. The portion of the tracks coming off the drive sprockets looks a little too rounded, but good overall. Great job, thanks for sharing your work.

How do you like the bigger scales? 1/25th compared to 1/35th, then your plans to tackle a 1/16th T-34/85...wow!

Cheers -

Thanks Tim. To be honest the only reason I kind a like the larger scales is that they are a little easier to work on,the only draw back is they seem to lack some of the detail that you get in 1/35th and the selection is very very limited. Oh Yeah! they take upa lot of SPACE too!!! My first build was Dragons Pz.Kpfw. ll Ausf F . Man that was a small model .Little did I know that in reality It was a small tank. I thought all 1/35th were that small. I do have a couple models in 1/35th that are a lot bigger than my first build so I'll
get to them after I finish This T/34. This T/34 is going to take a little time .It seems to be quite detailed in the interior. Should be fun!!! ( I hope )

Thanks again Tim

gerat job really nice Panther G only one thing, you've left the small round sink marks on the spare tracks. Look out for this, most kits with indy type tracks have them. they're frustrating to remove but realy worth the effort.

Thanks Geraint for pointing that out, I would've never known. I thought those sink marks were part of the track. Thats whats nice about this site, you get good helpful info. thanks again for looking.

Someone else beat me to the injector pin marks on the tracks, but two other little things for future reference. One pretty panther specific one is the coil of rope on the hull side is actually cable as well, so metalic color for that.

Secondly the periscopes on the upper hull ,one in the second picture and one under the hood on the drivers side and the ones on the cupola and singleton on the turret roof could/should have dark glass centers inside the metal frame.

Nice build, keep up the good work, and keep it fun.

It's nice to see a larger scale tank for a change! I agree with everything that was said, real good work on the paint and subtle weathering.

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Mike,
Thanks for pointing out the rope and periscopes, do you paint the periscopes black?
