Hi all this is the krupp protze with all the sculpted figures now mounted on the basework.
The water effect was inspired by Robert Blokker and clear casting resin was used with some green enamel paint added to tint the water.
The foliage is a mix of different plants collected from nature, grass is a mix of fur, brush bristles and grass product from Gaugemaster.
Now i realise that most 1/35 modellers are more into German subjects than Russian so i threw one in the river face down to accomadate evryone .
All comments and critique welcome.

Steve,Well done my friend, very nice indeed. The water looks very nice and the composition overall is very well done, what brand of clear resin did you use?The one I have has never turned out right for me.I myself can't really see anything that need to be redone at all.A few close in shots of the figures would be nice though.Overall a well done piece!IMHO

Hi Steve, (cheeky bugger)
What a way to compliment your sculpting and painting!
I like this scene alot, the long grass looks very natural and the groundwork in general is fantastic.
Adding the German to the foreground puts a spin into this scene!
Dealing with the dead isn't always easy to pull off, but you have done it quite tastefully.
Cheers,
Shay

I laughed out loud when I saw that.

This is a great diorama, I must say. It's one of those really good stories and an interesting subject with excellent modelling skills used to pull it all together.
Really, really well done. I'd love to see this one in person.

Arf! I didn't knew you were of such a baaad spirit Steve my friend, you made my evening yesterday actually
That's a pretty nice scene you have been doing, good work on the water too. Your german looks a bit like he was wearing a dancer's tutu when he met his fate but I must say your groundcover is really very well done, there's a nice variety of colours and shapes on it as can be seen on the second picture. Overall a very nice and original scene, with the self satisfaction that you really worked it out all by yourself with few ready made bought products

Hi Steve,
You are one of my favourite sculptors, this is a great achievement and I'm sure it is difficult trying to keep focused on completing so many Russians.
Diorama base is good but just a few little points that could be improved. Around the dead German you could create some slight ripples. In nature you can observe ripples around any floating object, on all but the calmest of waters. The reeds appear a little rigid as if they are made from wood.
The best points are the figure painting and sculpting, very high quality, top job. You didn't do such a bad job on the truck either!
Take care mate,
Chas

Great work Steve,
Finally you didn't do the german on the hood, but your alternative is not bad either.
Congrats on everything, from sculpting to originality.
Cheers
Claude

Guys thanks all for the great and possitive response it is much appreciated.
The dead German was done very light heartedly and was just for fun as i do like painting german cammo.
For the water i used clear casting resin called `Hobby Time` from a company called GLOREX in Switzerland. It is a polyester resin.
It is the first time i tried resin water and it worked fairly well for a first time,i used humbrol enamel green to tint the resin.
The russian uniform was painted with a mix of Brown, tans and greens mixed in various quantities till i got the shade i was after, sorry this isnt very tecnical but it how i choose all my colours mixing by eyesight.
Thanks all
Steve

Really nice. The floating soldier is a great addition. I especially love how all the guys passing by are NOT looking at him, to me it says how impersonal war really is.

Steve,
What a wonderful job you have done on your Krupp truck , I really love it , the way you have made all the figures interact so well is simply outstanding. I must admit I find your work a real inspiration thanks for posting the images and looking forward to you next project , another film characther maybe ?
Best wishes,
Jerry

Ross...Thanks for the comment,much appreciated.
Rudi...Thanks Bro,i will think about sending some pics.
Blake...i was in two minds whether to have the odd soldier peering at the floater in the water and am glad i chose not to now,i suppose it wasomething that they saw on a day to day basis and worse.
Jerry...i really appreciate your input mate, thanks.
as for the next project im working on something similar but with civilians this time and an Opel Blitz. I am modelling more now as i am really struggling to sculpt for the last few months, seems ive completely lost my tallent, hopefully it will return soon.
Thanks all
Steve
