I like the guy with his hands in his pockets- a change of head and some work on the shoulder straps and he'd be a nice desert Commonwealth Tanker

Pat,
That is a great idea. They sure do some great figures. Hope to pick a couple at the Azax model show that is coming up soon.

I also like the hands-in-pockets guy - but the other figure looks a bit "precious".

Nice set! NA is one of my favourite WW2 theatres, so it's nice to see Alpine release more figures for it. Definitely a set for me to pick up!
Interesting to see Taesung hand over more sculpting to other sculptors now that Alpine is a household name in modelling terms. Yukio Honma? I'm not familiar with the name though. Anyone else recognise it? Who's he done work for?

Hello Gents
Thank you all for the kind words. As always, I really
appreciate your support and encouragement.
Rudi
Yes, I start to ask other artists to sculpt figures for Alpine
for a few reasons. One is to enrich the Alpine line with
famous artists such as Hirano and Mike Good. (Yukio Honma
makes figures for Pegaso, Tamiya, ect) The other reason
is that I just can not keep up with Alpine's release schedule
with my own figures.
By the way, I'm in Korea for a small figure show with Calvin Tan
at the moment.
Cheers

Thanks Taesung. I'll have a look through the catalogues you mentioned for Yukio Honma's works. It'll be great to see some Mike Good figures in your stable.
I saw on Calvin's website that he had popped over to the Korean show - I was actually wondering if you'd make the trip as well. If you happen to make a detour via Melbourne on the way home... let me know... we'll grab some beers, golf clubs and shoot the breeze
Rudi
EDIT: Taesung, thanks for the direction to Yukio Honma's work for Pegaso/Platoon. As chance would have it I've actually got this figure in my stash - got it some time back but never got around to painting it... what's new. I reckon you've got a decent sculptor there, together with Alpine's famous casting quality, you should have another winner
