Is the armour damaged going home for a refit, or are they parked waiting for more armour to turn up? What is the time scale late or early in the war this would help, then maybe I can give u some help

Sorry read again its Italian cam. The rest of the questions stand. Maybe Dragon 6348 Panzergrenadiers Italy might help, they look like they're sat around wainting for something to happen. Also wounded troups leaving the front ?

Hi Martyn

looks like a good idea, although looking at the figures you have and the potential size i would down scale a little, I would maybe go with an abandoned railway yard, with may be a couple of abandoned vehicles on rail trucks, on even knocked off the rail trucks after allied bombing.

using the British figures you have as an advance party securing the yard and may be some injured Germans awaiting capture.

You could capture this in a reasonable sized base and with out the need for to much figure conversion (unless of course you wanted to).

just some thoughts

cheers

Keith Forsyth

P.s. I will be at Telford with IPMS Stafford and IPMS kitmaker, and if I can help in any way just let me know

I think much later in the war , if u could stand, fire a rifle and was still prepared to take orders. Off to the frount u went didn't matter how wounded u was

Dragon models make 1/35 plastic railway tracks.

Martyn

if you are after railtracks dragon do a set but they are rare these days unless they have redone them, there is another thread on page 2 or 3 of the diorama forum with a company in Canada that produces all the parts you need to build up some rail tracks

other wise take a look at Great North Road at Telford because they produce a set completely cast in plaster, that would also work

Hi Martyn
Here are some pics of tracks from Dragon & trumpeter
Dragon tracks

Trumpeter tracks

I would go with the Dragons tracks myself ,if you can get them without buying them with a railcar (cargo wagon or armoured car, both at a model shop near to me)
will watch this one with interest
