hi all i have just had a disaster just sprayed a coat of humbrol matt cote over tamiya paints and now its gone all cloudy hmm
has anyone else had this problem and if so wat have i done wrong, i,m just gonna use the kit as a practise piece now i may even do a winter cammo on it now ,luckily it was the old tamiya panther kit that i picked up cheaply
any advice would be most helpfull

I dont think this is going to help but at least you will know that you are not alone!
I brush applied Humbrol matt clear over Tamiya matt enamel and the Tamiya coat softened and started to lift. When it dried it was semi gloss.
I then applied a coat of Microscale Micro Flat which came out high gloss!
However the Micro Flat acted as a seal coat so I could then apply the Humbrol and get the flat finish I wanted.
I have successfully mixed Tamiya and Humbrol colours so maybe it is just something about the thinners in the clear coat.

Next time I would probably apply a couple of coats of Future floor wax before going with humbrol. The wax will give you a protective barrier so there shouldn't be much of a reaction.
