I've only built two dios, so the most recent one is the one I necessarily like better.
![](../../modules/SquawkBox/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I did more research than I usually do, and tried more new techniques, both of which combined made it a lot of fun. It was a Father's Day gift for my Dad.
More pics
HERE.
Given the quality of your figures as seen in your tutorial, I look forward to seeing any dio you finish. I have a lot of trouble with figures, so I respect those who do it well.

I'll be following this thread with interest. I never tire of seeing other people's work.

As for a true full diorama I'd have to go with "Gotcha Covered'.
Scratch Built Building and base, poured water, super detailed the M16, figuares young and old, details everywhere.
There are others but I'd put this one on top today

i guess projects are harder to pull of than it is made to seem!
Giovanni, fantastic, the stained glass windows reall add to the scene, and the "cat" is painted up real nice
Charles , greedy having so many good dios, haha

WOW!! that building is ace, great work Henk. some of the fittings look like miniart, but what about the building it's self, is it home cast? that could be added into a huge street dio, would look amazing.

Thanks Neil,
the building is from MiniArt, I added the floors, wall paper etc., and the rubble from scratch. I did a review of this kit, as well as a few more MiniArt kits:

Did I notice that most here (including me for my early dios) is using artificial lightning or the sun to help our diorama to get some relief? hmmm, there is something just quite not right there
![](../../modules/SquawkBox/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Wehn we guys expose our stuff we can't predict the direction of the light in the show room (or home, or in the garden shed), therefore we have to have some specific way of painting our dioramas that could get the thing to get its own light..

Some awesome work here. Charles, you two abondoned vehicles are brillient.
Keith the train station is such a strong reminder of what the war was all about, Very, very powerful.
jba, said it before - amazing work.
All those not mentioned, guys if anything I do is half as good as the dio's you've produced here I'd be pleased.
Outstanding work all.
Thanks for sharing, although I've seen most before it's a great reminder of the talent on site, inspirational stuff.
