I've only built two dios, so the most recent one is the one I necessarily like better. I did more research than I usually do, and tried more new techniques, both of which combined made it a lot of fun. It was a Father's Day gift for my Dad.
More pics HERE.
Given the quality of your figures as seen in your tutorial, I look forward to seeing any dio you finish. I have a lot of trouble with figures, so I respect those who do it well.
I'll be following this thread with interest. I never tire of seeing other people's work.

As for a true full diorama I'd have to go with "Gotcha Covered'.
Scratch Built Building and base, poured water, super detailed the M16, figuares young and old, details everywhere.
There are others but I'd put this one on top today

Not really crowning achievements but they are the latest pieces of the slowest builder in the world and they all made a prize or two. And I'm quite proud on them.
And my last finished piece with it's bronze medal. This piece will go to another 2 events.

WOW!! that building is ace, great work Henk. some of the fittings look like miniart, but what about the building it's self, is it home cast? that could be added into a huge street dio, would look amazing.

The thing that amazes me about this site over other forums relating to my interests outside model building is that the true masters of this art are such decent people. Here, anybody asking for help or information will get it on a peer to peer level. So many other hobbies seem to inflate the ego exponentially with skill. And that lot don't mind displaying it! I don't know what makes modelling so different. The dioramas shown in this thread are all absolutely outstanding! But, besides enjoying the results of their creator's skill, that so many are happy to help others deserves appreciation as well.

Thanks Neil,
the building is from MiniArt, I added the floors, wall paper etc., and the rubble from scratch. I did a review of this kit, as well as a few more MiniArt kits:

TBA: that ice on your diorama, looks like real! How did you do that?
tinted transparent polyester resin poured in a homemade latex form
Did I notice that most here (including me for my early dios) is using artificial lightning or the sun to help our diorama to get some relief? hmmm, there is something just quite not right there
Wehn we guys expose our stuff we can't predict the direction of the light in the show room (or home, or in the garden shed), therefore we have to have some specific way of painting our dioramas that could get the thing to get its own light..

Hi Guys,
Some awesome work here. Charles, you two abondoned vehicles are brillient.
Keith the train station is such a strong reminder of what the war was all about, Very, very powerful.
jba, said it before - amazing work.
All those not mentioned, guys if anything I do is half as good as the dio's you've produced here I'd be pleased.
Outstanding work all.
Thanks for sharing, although I've seen most before it's a great reminder of the talent on site, inspirational stuff.
