FYI, that CCKW looks like a dump truck. I doubt it would be wasted towing arty -- more likely to be found in an engineer unit.
I'm sure some long-wheel-base deuce-and-a-halfs were used to tow artillery, but I've always understood that the short wheel-base CCKW-352 was used in this role. The longer wheel-base CCKW-353 had a longer cargo box and was usually reserved for hauling cargo or troops.
