I am using an Aztec airbrush with Polly Scale Acrylic paint. On the top of the turret the paint has pits in it and appears coarse. The top of the turret is the only part that is doing this, the rest of the tank looks fine. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Sounds like you could be spraying at to great a distance, which caused the paint to partially dry before it reached the model. That may explain the "coarse" finish.

One other cause occurred to me if you are using a compressor. It could be that the air pressure is to high for the paint/thinners ratio that you were using. This could also cause paint to dry prematurely. The general rule-of -thumb is ..... higher thinner content, the lower the pressure.

Thanks, I am using an IWATA Smart Jet. I'll check it out.
