Hello to all!!
I have a diorama idea, my first diorama idea which is now being made but I bumped in an obstacle......weather. The story is as goes: the war has ended in Europe, allied & german forces have been friends for a while. A jeep is driving down the road & seems quite lost. He soon sees a Schwimwagen(w/ driver of course) & asks for directions. Problem is the kits I use are all OoB since there aren't much figures here in manila matching my needs. The driver in the Scwimwagen has an open shirt as if he's in the sun for a while. What was the Season when the war ended in may? does the weather match the opened shirt pose?

I think you can easily show the driver with his open shirt.. Even if they had a bad season I`m sure that they would have some nice days where you could get your shirt open.. On the other side it`s may and here in Europe the seasons can be quite different one year youhave asummer full of rain the other year it`s supersunny.. From out my point of view and 21 years experience with the weather here in Europe I say it`s legible (hope that`s existing English)

So I don`t see a problem

I dont know if you have seen Band of brothers but inthe last episode when the war is over Capt Winters is swimming in a lake I think it would be fair to say that your driver would wear na open neck shirt

Two things -
1. Work with what you have not what you need. So go for it. There seems to be enough support for it. I too recall images of open shirts on nice days.
2. It's great that you're thinking about these details. It will add a great deal of weight and accuracy to your diorama.

Keep us posted. If you do run into a situation where you need to scratch build something - Don't worry about it - there are LOTS of people here who can help. I recall an image in the AC campaign - a guy scatch built german pilot jackets on top of OOTB torsos. Killer stuff.

I posted just yesterday about that question but I must say It's almost done. Both cars are in the base already, painting & weathering is done, the only thing left to do is paint in the small white dots from the putty I used & it's ready to be posted here. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner or digital camera so........I hope I could find one soon.
