Recently I found this kit part-made at a show for £10 along with a new vanguard book about the Challenger 1 for £5; only the lower hull and wheels were assembly and with no bits missing. I wanted to try out some Friulmodel track so I decided to get some for this build and some Eduard Photoetched. So, with my order on its way, I then had a good look through the book and used the internet to get some ideas. I had a good idea what I wanted to do so, with some add-on parts, I started to build the kit.

Mmmmm! Looking nice so far.

That's really tempting me away from the kit tracks.

Mind you, with the skirts on the tracks won't be seen so...

Why is life so unfair?

Looks great so far.

What kit is this?

My guess would be it's a Tamiya. [edit - Disregard, I looked closer at the hull shots and saw the snake that nearly bit me!]

Keep up the great work!

Looks very nice. Is that the ZOOM PE set?

What are the grey sections on the model before you painted? Is it non-slip?

Nice build indeed.
Like Paul, I wonder what the grey areas are.

Hi Matt
Very nice, I'm planning to get the friul model tracks myself as I've used my tracks to make a CrARRV a couple of years ago! What were they like? Nick
