I've seen pictures of aircraft models where instead of doing a wash to accentuate panel lines the modeller airbrushed Tamiya smoke along the panel lines. The effect looked really good and I thought of trying it. I've never used this paint before so wondered if anyone here has. If so does it need to be thinned and if so what ratio paint to thinner? Thanks in advance guys.

Yes Tamiya smoke needs to be thinned before spraying as all Tamiya paints do. How thin is up to you. At least the consistency of skim milk. Since you are using it as a highlight not a paint you will want it somewhat thinner than usual. I usually use approx. 2:1 ratio of thinner to paint.
