Spackle is a (water based) fine grained filler compound for patching holes in wallboard/sheetrock. here in the US, it comes in powder and pre-mixed forms and is available in most hardware/building supply stores. Makes a great covering medium for scale buildings. Rob

Just like polyfilla, ive used interior plaster from wickes, but you can get it from any diy shop. I went for the powder as opposed to the ready made stuff so i can have it as thick as i need. A runny coating works on walls and concrete areas.

Both powder and the ready made up stuff have their advantages. When fillin up areas or ground terrain, the powder is great, but when finer work is needed, I like the tube stuff. Great for adding plaster for walls. Spread out evenly and then even out more with a damp sponge. Let dry for an hour or so and then dab all over with the wet sponge again. Great plaster effect.
For easy building is to cast a rectangualr block. Scribe brick work in areas and then add a plaster layers over the rest as above, leaving the scribed areas plasterless. When painted this looks the part. if you have side walls as well, glue them together and fill out with this spackel. When almost dry scribe in the blockwork. Dont leave to 100% dry as its rock hard!
