Just like to show some work in progress pictures of my Canadian Firefly Ic hybrid. This vehicle represents a sherman firefly from the 4th armoured division early 1945.
Today i recieved a set of friul T54 E tracks, spent half an hour on them and only put 6 links together
I gave the model a few olive green oil filters and tomorrow i shall add a yellow/white/burnt umber dot filter to try and add some color variation.
comments welcome
regards
Karl

Looking pretty good Karl! Are you going to pick any of the details out, by painting the pioneer tools, and other items? May be a suggestion to do them before weathering too much more, as they may blend a little better.
Thanks for sharing your photos! Will be sure to keep checking for your next update.
Enjoy those tracks! Another project in itself! Cheers -

Friul tracks are easy.
Why are you having a hard time?
Cut yourself a bunch of {I use brass rod and not the included wire for the pins} pins and drill all the holes out first and clean up takes about an hour to do a side then start shoving them together.
do about 10 links then super glue the pins in cut them longer then needed sand when done.
Leave the last three not glued try on for size and adjust.
I always leave two pins not glued and put it where it can not be seen but I can always remove it if need be
Looks like a nice build you have going..
Did not the British have kind of their own color of OD Green?

Hi Karl,
Coming along well. The texture looks a bit too rough on the front hull especially on the RHS, same on the transmission unless you plan to turn some of it into mud? I may be worng but I think it's just a bit too rough.
Looking good in general, I like your colour and weathering so far, keep up the good work.
