I believe warriors did used to do a French figure from Indo China, and Jaguar had a set of Foreign Legion figures that seemed to be placed in that theater.
Much of the French equipment at the time was a rag tag mix of American gear and French made copies of US gear. So you can get away with adapting late war US figures, for tank crew you can use US helmets, just use figures that are wearing loose fitting shirts and trousers, and basic US issue web gear. There was a diorama someone was constructing on Historicus Forma, where he had adapted US figures to make French troops in Indo China, sadly I cant find it.

It was me !!!
Unfortunately I didn't progress on my diorama since then.
Here are the links to the topics re figures and diorama.
You may find the information you are searching for; I strongly advise you to convert dragon figures as I did because there are very few resin figures of french soldiers in indochina.
If you have any question, don't hesitate.
Best,
Julien
