I heard that DesKits made a 1930's-40's vintage Citreon.... has anyone seen it or any other similar car for that period in that scale? i want a few to use in an urban dio. i have found a 1:36th scale (yes - 1:36 !) series of metal cars that I have been able to adapt, but they don't have quite the amount of detail I'm looking for...

Airfix makes some older (not sure if they are 30-40s) cars in 1:32 scale. I do know a VW and a Citreon are part of the series. Model Expo sells them online.

Yesterday at a convention in Paris, I did see two civilian cars :
- a citroen "traction avant"
- a smaller car (2 seats), probably a simca, with a fabric roof that you can open, very nice...
The problem is I don't know who manufactures them snif...
Otherwise, in 1/72nd, you can find 2 different tatras (czech car ?) that were used by everyone, axis and ally...
sorry I can't be more precise, but at least there is hope !

Try Model Victoria, I know that they aren't french but would Italian do? They do a lovely motor caleed the Topolino that would fit any Med scene nicely! :-)
