Good day -
Finally have finished DML's M4A4 Sherman (kit # 6035), late for the Sherman campaign but finished nonetheless! Built it out of the box, painted it using Tamiya Olive Drab. Weathered it using the oil dots method, then used WarPigs pigments (first time using them wet, like it!). Tracks are kit's individual links, markings are from the 1st Motorized Artillery Regiment, Polish 1st Armoured Division, Falaise Gap 1944 (from what the decal sheet says).
First picture is before weathering...what a difference!
All comments & criticism welcome, please! First Sherman, may just have to find another one to build!
Thanks for looking! Cheers!
Tim

Looks good Tim.
Right how much a little weathering changes the color.
Again maybe a little stowage on the rear might give it some color.
So going to be by itself?

Thanks Jeff, appreciate the comments! Will probably work on some stowage for the rear deck. No plans for it other than sitting on the shelf, but that could change!
Cheers!

Hi Tim,
Nice work so far. You need some better pictures, on a plain background if you can get it, and you're either getting flash or changing light so the kit looks a bit different each time.
Some stowage would be good and the extinguisher bottles were a deep gloss green if I remember correctly. I can't quite make out the unit ofthe than RA, could you clarify that and did you base it on any particular picture.
Cheers

Thanks Al, appreciate the look and comments! Don't have the best set-up for pictures, have been trying a couple of different things. Hope to be some better ones next go around, will take your advice and see how they turn out.
Will more than likely work on stowage in-between projects. Next Sherman will paint the extinguisher bottles bright green, almost painted them red but didn't think that was correct.
Markings are from the 1st Motorized Artillery Regiment, Polish 1st Armoured Division, Falaise Gap 1944 (from what the decal sheet says). Didn't base it on any photos, just the included instruction sheet.
Thanks again! Cheers -

Hi Tim,
Thanks for the info. I'm still experimenting with the photographic thing myself. I seem to get the best pics in natural but not direct sunlight and I finally bought some blue backing card which also helps. I only took me 2 years to discover how the flash turned off lol, lol and I only found that by chance
Cheers

Tim,
Very nice looking Sherman! Making me want to take a break from German armor and do my own Sherman!

Ed - Thanks for the kind words, appreciate you looking at it. Will do regarding the photo tips, going to do something different next time (hopefully in a couple of weeks!).
Al - thanks again for the tips! No problem with sending along the info, hope it was what you were looking for.
Justin - thanks Mate! That's exactly why I built this one, took a break from German armor, plus wanted to finish it for the Sherman Campaign, but was late with that! Maybe next time.
Cheers -
