How many metal plates are on the MILES belts on the sides?
Also, Does anyone have close-up pics of the CVKI or "whoopie" light?
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks, Evan

well lets see, there are metal covers that go on the "cheeks" of the hull, up where it starts to point inward, one on each side. Then on the right side under the exhaust there are two brackets, about 2 feet long each, that mount from under the hull so that when this area heats up the weight of the belt does not cause the MILES tape to slide off since it is held on with glue, and when glue heats up, it likes to move around.
Hope that helps

If you wanted to do a proper scratchbuild, no, it's not close enough. If you want a vague resemblance by putting an orange light on a box it'll do. He did say 'close up' pics.
Seriously though, if a person wanted to do an accurate rendition, close ups and different side views would help.

In addition to what Ric said about the plates there is one on the nose of the vehicle and one of the rear of the vehicle too.

Are the .50's QCB's?
I ask because us Aussies use a different BFA, which seems far less complicated than that? Its just a Red barrel with a yellow 'flower' on the end. Ill try to find a photo.

Quoted TextAre the .50's QCB's?
No. The U.S. still uses the standard M2 .50cal.
Shoot, I wish we had the QCB's, would make things so much better, but I guess we got so much money tied up in the .50 HB's we wont see them any time soon.
