im workin ona dio set deep in the ardennes forest. the scene will hav a rock face on one side of the road, and thick forest on the other...perfect for an ambush. driving down the riad is a deuce n a 1/2 and a sherman. at the other end, hidden in the tees is a panther g surrounded with some panzer grenadiers scrambling to prepare for an attack. almost across form the panther wil b a crashed, burnt out jeep with bodies as an eerie omen. the scene will b quite large and will be covered in snow. il post some pics later for criticism. all is welcome cuz this is only my 3rd dio; however, i hav been building for a long time. all the vehicles r done except for the crashed jeep and its drivers. pix up later!

Sounds like a great and involved idea for a Battle of Bulge diorama. Might I suggest goig to this web site as it has a great deal of info on the role of the sSSPzAbt 501 and 1st SS Panzerkorps. For your use, there are many photos of the area and 'path' taken by Peiper's 1st SS Panzer. Hope it helps with your 'terrain'. Remember about the 'snow' situation as there was little if any in Ardennes til around 24/25 December timeframe.

Nice! i really like the paint job on the 2 1/2 ton. I looks really nice and blended. The only other thing is that the upper hull of your sherman is off set slightly to the right, but thats an easy fix. Look forward to more.
