Just wondered what ya guys do to protect the base when using something like this for a diorama.

I'm planning on making a little single figure scene on the edge of a cliff, with a waterfall. I'm trying to figure out how to work it out with a base like that.

I use blue painters tape to protect my bases. It comes off very easily with no residue left behind. I think its made by Scotts cant remember.
