Hello all here some of the work I've done on my M3 project so far. I used pix posted by 18Bravo and Pete Becerra, Jr. to study and get ideas from. I've started on the top rear hatch lid. The 1:1 Photos before 1/35 work photos:

An I had to build this form this diogram:

Now My work:

I must say after looking at the view ports for some days now. I then went back and cut them down and now the top looks like this:

I think it looks alot better now. As for the turret I have only started and this is where I am.

I've added the interior panels but no interior work yet.

I just got in my Legend Bradley ERA set, an a full PE set and AFV Big Foot track sets that will be using for this build.

Thank's for looking Later yall!!

I can't see the pics right now to comment on (Gov't computer), but I'll check it out later. Did you see the new Legend M2A3 conversion set? It was posted yesterday or the day before. It looks really nice and has a great looking CIV and turret parts. It is probably worth getting as opposed to making all the changes yourself. I will probably get one.

I have more Bradley models to do so I'll check out that kit. I'm new here so give me some time as I must go and look up that new kit info.
Ok I have seen it and it looks realy good. Only I have build most of the items that you would get in that kit. Like the new side flat hatch on the turret and the reshaped box infront of the flat hatch. The roof Armor plate the turret plate. Now as for the reshaped rear top hatch I scratch built my own. (M3A3 style) Sorry you can't see my work. but some of it looks a lot like that kit. So once I can I'll get my hands on that kit I can use it on some of my othere kits. Thanks for the heads up.

Are you also gonna scratch the new camera and sensor thingie on the roof? That must be hard to do.

Your model looks nice. Good luck with it!

Thanks "Gino" I've seen it, it's at the What's New section but thanks any way for the link. I have a dio for you to see I hope you can see it. Scroll down to 18th post by Pete Becerra. It shows the Rear Roof plates shape for the M2A3 and the M3A3 of wich I'm working on. So only if I had that kit a little of that kit would help on this build. You can't reshape that rear roof armor plate to look like that of the M3 shape. You would have to scratch build a new one your self. Like I did on my M3 version. There is one othere part that is not in that kit, you should see it at the top of the part just under the 34A screw on the Diogram. But if your building any of the M2A3s that kits rear uparmor will work out well. As for all of the othere parts most of them should be used on an M3 versions.
An yes " Lars" I'm going to have to scratch build the "new camera and sensor thingie"
I to hope this all works out.
Hay Gino use a laptop from one of the lower ranked solder that's not Gov-Issued, so you can see the work in wich we are showing.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to see Legend doing this. I have felt so darn bad in not getting my master finished and off to my caster, who is also busy and over busy lately. I wanted you guys to have the conversion...just too darn busy with the job.

Good to see.

I can see it fine w/my personal computer, I just have to find time to get back to my room to look at it. Don't worry, I have it all figured out.

It looks like it is coming along pretty well. The extra plate on top of the new hatch looks too rounded to me on the sides. I think it is straight across. Could just be the pics though. The inside has smaller kevlar sheets bolted to the walls too, so make sure you add the on top of the sheets you already added.

Keep up the good work.

The legend set indeed looks good. My master for the hull mods is finished, although the hatch is cemented in place. I may farm it out.

Caveman, your build is looking good, however, with all that nice work, you may want to remove those knock out pins on the periscopes. Also, the hatch armor is off - it should have two splits in it, and be shaped differently. Send me your email address and I'll be happy to send you the relevant photos.

I see there's no [IM] nor [PM] on here so here's my E-Mail: [email protected].
Gino: ah the hatch is flat on top and round on the sides, oh I tell you what I will take some new photos to day of it by it's self so you can see it better. 18Bravo the rear hatch has the two plits in it there just not all that long I will effect repairs. I tryed to keep the view ports close to the image you posted. Much like Kims M3A2s rear hatch. But please send photos.

I know the shape of the actual hatch. I am talking about the plate that is on the top of the hatch, the same one 18Barvo is talking about. Yours looks like it has cut outs on either side that faces out. It should be straight across, not cut out. Again, it may be the angle of the pics or something.

I see that you do indeed have the splits - my old eyes couldn't make them out because of the black you had used to mark off the areas. Thank God I don't hae to ID targets 12 inches away. I'll email the photos to you.

Yeah your right Gino from that angel I got the sides of the top armor off a bit. I will try to fix it inplace. If I only had over head photos of that top armor off the hatch or in a diogram it would help.
OH an thanks to gino for pointing me to that new info on that Ledgen kit. From the photos of that kit, I now see that I have 5 more armor panels or plates to add to the upper hull. Thanks man.

Ok no more talking on my end I think I need to post more photos or pics for you young guys.

Good new to all my US modelers, for all of you here in the states that like or love building any of the M2-Bradleys the Legend Productions M2A3 Conversion Set is now here. An along with the M2 Bradley ERA Set. Now I don't what to get my self kicked off buy posting links from a company that I don't know if it is affiliated with this one. So go over the Squadron and in the search section in the box called:[SEARCH BY STOCK NUMBER] type in LF1168 for the M2 Bradley ERA Set and LF1170 for the new M2A3 Conversion Set.
Here one othere set som of you that like the M2A0 to the first M2A1 and A2 of ODS and the start of OIF. Type in LF1119 for the Bradley Stowage set.

I know I know you were looking for me to post some more work, Ihave started on that Thermal Camera so I can make the turret bustle the right length. I'm trying to build my bustle from Brass sheet. I hope this works. I'll have new photos up soon.

Squadron is the official importer of legend kits, to the US at least, so you pretty much have to go through them to get it as a store here.

I have two sets on teh way from Korea...I will report once I have them on hand.

I have a set coming from Korea as well. Which was still cheaper than ordering from Squadron, including postage. We'll see how they look.

Ok guys it's good to be back to work on this project once again. I must be honest with you all at first when I was thinking of doing this project, I realy wanted to make up for my poor attempt at building an OIF M2A2 Bradley. With a poor selection of photos and a low level of skill I tryed to build my first bradly and it came out bad to some and ok to othere's. Then I fell in to this site and found that there was a lot more info and realy good photos of what I had in my head from watching the nightly News ((CNN)). Any way after seeing that there was a lot more guys out there that liked this model as much as me aan I then saw an opportunity to improve my skill. Realy pick up some realy good tips, so I joined up. The I ran across that Awesome builder Mr. Kim and over the top M3A2 Bradley build and asked it I could flow the build and try some things. I't seamed to be cool with him. An at the time I realy thought I could hang and so I thought.
So for some time now I worked on some of my othere projects and tryed some of the things I have seen used on his build to improve my eazyer model and now I'm back to start using what I feel I have learned will I was gone. So with all that said I got the chassis done and I'm moving on the the interior later to day.

Here some of my work.

It's a bit off sorry for that, It's not like any ones realy going to see it all that well with all the exterior detail I'm going to add to it.

in looking at my first build of this subject I wish I had known to use the resin kit with my first build.

"But" I'm glad I have a second chance to make up for my low level amount of reliable information. Now I think I will do a lot better this time.

Thanks Tony I have a long way to go yet. I have the engine bay and floor layed out. and I had to fix some things on the outter hull [lower hull].

I must say the AFV tracks go together realy well but some of the links don't stay together. I may have to glue some flat links.

Realy I can't wate to start on the Tranny and engine block.
