I am not good with history, but did the US soldiers use the flamethrowers on their backs when they were fighting the germans, or was that only against japan.
every movie i have seen that had flamethrowers were when they were fighting the japanese, not the germans.
the reason i ask is the little dio i am going to work on will be the US and the Germans, but one of the soldiers i have has a flamethrower on his back. if they didnt use flamethrowers against the germans, then i am not going to include that one guy

They were more prevalent in the PTO (largely because of Japanese tactics) but they were used in the ETO.
