Hi all,
I just bought Verlinden set no. 1565 "Military Vehicle Stowage US WWII" second hand on a local internet auction. I was wondering just how many of each items should be in the box? should it be 2 x of what is on the box top photo? I'm asking because I got six jerrycans, but there are three on the photo, there is one radio set on the photo, but I got two sets. On the other hand there are seven bedrolls on the photo and I got seven in the box, four backpacks on the photo and four I got. I'm now wondering if the seller was honest? Shouldn't there be 4x2 = 8 backpacks and 7x2=14 bedrolls and so on ? Could anyone that has this set clarify this for me please?

Thanks in advance,
Greg

no, with verliinden, you get what you see, maybe there was a miscount at factory, or maybe the seller was adding somehting extra

That's been my experience with Verlinden too. So if anything you got more than you should have.

Verlinden is kinda hit and miss when it comes to what you actually get.
I picked up a set of Verlinden's U.S. Tankers Track Troubles #1644 and was pleasantly surprised to find 2 extra figures.
When I purchased a set of their German Volksgrenadiers #0941, one figure was missing a head, the other an arm.
On another occasion, I picked up a set of German heads and got 10 heads instead of 5 !!!
Very weird !!!

Thanks John,
Very weird indeed, one might wonder what are they smoking prior to packaging the castings into boxes

Cheers,
Greg
