With the power pack removed, the fifty-caliber MG still mounted and a driver figure on board, as well as what appears to be one track missing, I was wondering how the completed model will be presented? I like the amount of VN red dust, and if the tank has been without track or engine for any time, the shiny wear marks on the suspension would have gone rusty by now. Nice concept, and I'm looking forward to seeing the final setting.

That was my first thought as well. In an immobile pillbox, the driver figure isn't much pulling 12:00 security. My guess is the weapons remain there for other crew members to provide security while the M88 crew change the powerpack in the field. The tank is looking god though - I like the empty engine bay.

Interesting model for sure.
Talk about the engine bay a little more. Is it scratch or resin AM kit? The mantlet cover putty looks good. is that what it is called

Hey,
thanks for your comments.
First of all, the driver isn`t glued in. And will not be there in the finished scene.
And the weapons are mounted to "provide security while the M88 crew change the powerpack in the field." Yes, that`s correct.
The engine compartment and also the engine is from the Legend kit. Which I have to say is a very good one. But it was a hell of a job to put it in the old Tamiya M48.
