He looks a bit static, wooden and uninspiring - but for the price I guess one shouldn't complain too much.

A WW2 MP wearing a beret?
I'm not going to say it would never happen BUT the beret didn't become widespread in the British Army until post-WW2 surely..?
A lot of photos show Brits wearing 'berets' which are in fact 'Caps, GS (General Service)' - a khaki serge beret-shaped item of headgear introduced in late 1943, but with a wide headband and quite a shapeless appearance.
TTBOMK, Berets proper were worn by the Royal Armoured Corps, various Cavalry regiments, the Reconnaissance Corps, the Parachute Regiment, the Special Service Brigade and the SAS - Army Commando units seem to have worn the Royal Marines green beret.
Military Police personnel usually wore the standard Servce Dress peaked cap with a separate and removable cover in red (Provost Wing) or Oxford blue (Vulnerable Points Wing) when on duty.
((information from 'British Army Uniforms and Insignia of WW2', Brian L Davis, Arms and Armour Press, ISBN 1-85409-159-X ))
Nice figure, but needs a change of headgear I reckon...
cheers

Typical Redcap then (I should know - I was one )
here's what I wrote over on HF:
MPs armed with pistols typically wore only one webbing strap crosswise like a Sam Browne and the pistol should be worn on the front of the belt and not at the side.
I thought at first it might be a rehash of SKP 017 British Soldier with Rifle but the stance and the details are different. As ACAV has pointed out MPs didn't wear the beret though for a brief period they did wear the GS cap which resembles a beret. He might be based on a pic of a Regimental Policeman or Barrack Policeman who sometimes wore MP Brassards but wouldn't have worn peaked caps.
Still not a bad figure, I like the detail on the webbing though the buckles on the rear of the belt seem a bit far apart. He'd make a good Polish Tanker as they seemed to wear their webbing a lot more than British rankers did.

Skp have sent me this photo in support of their figure. The Corporal in the photo is a member of the Czechoslovak Armoured Brigade. Photo is from book Czechoslovak Army in Great Britain ( Prague 2003).
