Does anybody know the dimensions of standard camo net like the kind carried on a M113 series vehicles? I'm pretty sure it's a big rectangle.

Cam nets come in two sizes. Big, and really *%$*#! big. Just kidding, usually 20 foot by 30 foot. Sometimes they are sewn together to form a larger net. (++)

A camo net set includes one diamond (small piece) and one hexagon (big piece). According to my TM, the diamond is 27.9 ft long, and 16.1 ft wide. The hexagon is 32.2 ft long and 27.9 ft wide.

Rob,

I knew you would have the answer. The shape make sense since the nets can be joined together. So this must be the hexagon in the picture. Of course it's tied back over the mortar tube.

I remember we called the spreaders on the end of the poles "butterflys" and we usually made the net high enough to drive in and out of.

The camouflage pole set includes 12 poles, 6 spreaders, can't recall the exact number of stakes, I think it is either 18 or 24 of them.

Rob;

You are off to a good start, but you should have mentioned the other necessary evils of the LWSS, the poles and spreader bars which always accompany the nets.

He didn't ask that. But for you guys:
6 spreader adapter assemblies (two part assembly, body and nut)
18 batten spreaders (those paddles, three paddles per spreader)
12 poles (aluminum or plastic)
18 steel stakes
1 pole bag
