Hi I am thinking of making this kit my next project but after checking out he kit contents I have noticed there are hundreds of knock out marks on the inside of all the beams, has any one built this kit and whats the best way to deal with all those pin marks, I am thinking of attacking them with my warrior multi tool but that would make one side textured, any ideas would be most welcome, cheers Bob.

If there are too many to fill and sand, you can always cut a sheet of styrene to fit and glue it over it to give a uniform smooth surface.

Having built the real thing I can testify their are no knock out marks anywhere on the real item. The Bailly Bridge kit is the only Bromco item I've seen, but I have not seen inside the box. I was always hoping one would have shown up here for review.

Bob as there is no review of this item why not do a review for the site, that way others will not be caught out with kit. If you need help with the ins and outs of doing a review, contact James Bella
CALLSIGN c5flies as I am sure he will be happy to help. In addition there is a Bailey Bridge crossing the river Avon about 3 miles down the road on salibury Plain, I can take some pics if it will help, wait on that it's been 4 years since I have been there but I believe it's still there.

Ok,
I'm not the best guy to be writing reviews, but I can certainly attempt to post pics of the sprues, including the gazillion knock out marks. They just need a little sandpaper and mr surfacer to cover 'em up. If I find some time over the next couple of days I'll take some piccy's for yuoze guyz. Meanwhile PMMS's review here: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/bronco/cb35012.htm
should just about cover it all. The sprue shots of the deck show the knock-out marks really well.

Hi,

The Bailey bridge sink marks make you want to pack it up and put it back.
If you have a sanding stick its not that bad because it fits in perfectly in to sand out the sink marks .

The instructions are incorrect in certain areas so recheck the side supports as you go .
The bridge was built and finished earlier this year and it took a week to finish .
That was on an average of a few hours a night.
Its now packed up and sitting back in the box for a future project.
One day .

Cheers

Hi Bob. Your the the perfect guy to write a review.
Not every review has to be written by an expert in that particular area. A little background info can be got from the net, but whats most interesting is images of the kit and the issues you´ve already mentioned. Some in-progress images as you build and your thoughts regarding instructions and fit, are also worth gold.

Thanks Frank for backing me up and saying just what I was thinking. On another track what is the scale length of this bridge?

Thanks guys for all your replies. Gino, I think thin plastic card is a good idea, I hadnt thought of that, as for doing a review I might consider a build blog when it reaches the bench I just have to move a jagdtiger along, also Darren I would love some pics for reference next time your down that way if you dont mind, thanks again, cheers Bob
