Hi everyone. I would like to know if anyone could help me find a set of 1/35 scale US Tank crewmen (Something along the lines of these:)

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Jon,

Are you after them in any particular medium? I.e. plastic or resin?

Also, do you mind the crew being made up of pieces from different kits?

Rudi

p.s. I think VLS/Warriors may have a few - I'll have a quick look...

From Alpine Miniatures (Also available as individual pieces - see our review section for more info on these figures)

35011 WW2 US Tank Crew Set (2 figures)

35019 WW2 US Tanker w/ Tommy Gun

35035 US Winter Tank Crew Set (2 figures)

35053 WW2 US Tank Crew Set (2 figures)

I did a search of "US Tank Crew" on the Squadron site, and here are a few I found:

US Tank Crew

US Tank Crew #1

US Tank Crew

Here's the search results from Verlinden's site (as you can see there are quite a few ): http://beta.search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=us+tank+crew&q1=site:verlinden-productions.com

The 1/48 crew example you showed seems to be based on The Royal Models Crew and The Yanks medic together with the Driver Tamiya include with their Shermans.

Dont forget the old Dragon kit if you can find it, not bad for plastic. hornet make some great heads for tankers, and the Alpine kits come with 2 (awesome) heads so you can spruce up a kit figure a bit, great for driver/bow gunners where you really only see the head.

I find it interesting that Caliber makes the same crew in all 3 major scales. The 1/35 and 1/48 are shown here, I have the 1/72 in my stash. Talk about getting milage out of one sculpting!

Eerm, they don't make it in 1/35... What Pat is showing above are the matches we could find from other manufacturers

Rudi

p.s. I do find it odd that they made the same crew in 1/72 and 1/48 but not 1/35.... pity...

Actually they do exist in 1/35 ... see Pats post. The Tamiya figure popped out at me directly, cause Ive painted him myself ... its a perfect 100% copy. Is there a copywrite issue here, eventhough its another scale?

Pat's post shows the 1/48 crew, with references to figures of the same pose by different marquis; Calibre 35 do no not make the crew in 1/35.
