The Tamiya Centurion includes a full figure crewman. This is nice 'cos if you dont use it on the model at least it goes into the parts box. The lad in question is a big strapping fellow, six foot plus according to my measurements, - probably from oop north and raised on mushy peas and tripe & onions.
The Tamiya Chieftain has three crewmen, but all legless which limits their alternative lifestyles. Worse, they are pathetic little gits, barely five foot tall in their plastic feet;- if they had any.
Is this a reflection of slipping standards in the British Army during the sixties?
Can anyone answer this vexing question which is causing me much lost sleep.
Regards Dave

I would say the the 6' crewman in the Centurion is the odd one out here - natural selection has ensured that a whole race of tank crewmen has evolved to fit the interior of amoured vehicles without getting liquidised every time the vehicle goes over a bump.
I'm 6'2" and did some training in Abbot SP guns - it was a tight squeeze!
For modern British crewmen I'd always the use the resin figures from Accurate Armour
