Today i put the finishing touches to this dragon kit,so i thought id share a few photos of the finished firefly.
I used a set of friul T54 tracks and a lionmarc 17 pdr gun barrel.i realy did not want to build the kit tracks, thats why i used friuls.
I painted it with lifecolor acrylics using a few shades of different olive drab colors untill i achieved the right look.Finished off with mig oils and mig pigments.
Thanks for looking
Karl

Nice job on the build.
Like those tracks, hard to beat Friul and not knock yourself out gluing little end connectors on.
Good job on the painting also.
Now the Question is this the old version A have one I bought about 5 years ago I think in the 6000 series any good?
Thanks

Hey Karl,
Nice job, it's great to see a British Columbia Regiment tank being modelled !!!
The BCR's are just across the harbour in Downtown Vancouver and your Firefly would do them proud.
Love to see some additional photos !!!
Cheers

They are the kit tracks i sliced the 3 bolts off the links to try and make them look like T54 type,i used super glue to attach them.

Nice build on this one! Like your tracks, they came out well, as did the rest of your finish.
Thanks for sharing your work.
Cheers!

Nice job on the Sherman Karl. The friuls look very sharp .. worth it IMO. The Dragon DS come with their own problems as well ... they are very springy and its hard to get them sitting perfectly to show the track weight. The rusty side-tracks add a nice contrast to the dull OD.

Thanks Frank/Tim.
Yer the friuls are great tracks but i makes the model a little heavy when you pick it up
also when i was installing them i broke off the left rear idle wheel arm which was a pain to glue back on.

Hi Karl,
Neat looking Firefly, only thing I would add is a little dust to the lower tracks on the side and a little exposed metal to some areas of the track.
Just needs an Ultracast Commander to finish it off. Although they are a bugger to drill out the cable hooks on the front need a small L bar to run between them.
Very nice work indeed.
