I though i would post a couple of pictures of the the diorama I built in four days last week for the IPMS nationals.
I built this as i was totally frustrated with the Chinook i had been work on, and needed to do some thing to stop me launching it out of the window.
The KY2 had been built and the insides painted, but the base, figures and the external work on the ky2 was all done in four days, in fact i finished it and put it in a box at 10:30pm the night before the show.
I will post a full OD at some point but here are a few taster pictures
comments welcome as usual
thanks for looking
cheers
keith

Funny but your dio made me want an ice cold Carlsberg
Very nice work and great use of the Jakrei/Wee Friends figures together with the classic Hornet Desert rat

4 day?!?!?!?! Bloody hell, Keith!
Takes me 4 days just to draft the idea on paper, assemble the kits, and gather the supplies!
Seriously though, lovely work. 2 thumbs up from me - only 'cos I've only got 2 thumbs

thanks Guys
It was built on a bit of a whim, I already had all the bits but hadn't realised how to use them all together.
The ruin is from Great North Roads which i cut up to suit the base, the figures are Wee friends and Hornet with Hornet heads and the KY2 is from Accurate Armour.
The dirt colour is Tamiya earth mixed with Tamiya Buff. followed by a sepia oil wash and then dry brushing with different shades of Humbrol 187.
It is surprising what can be built if you put your mind to it, just don't let my editor find out
cheers

Nice a wellmade display with good use of materials and a nice layout - only nitpick, and its just my preferances, is that the bordermaterial is higher than the terrain.

Gday Keith
I like this diorama not for the fact you have achieved it in 4 days, but for the fact that it looks good mate
The figures are super as is the vehicle. The ruins work well, and I'm glad the truck hasn't been 'blocked in' by rubble either side (so it looks as though it has driven there)
My only dislike is the low framework wall remaining on the inside of the scene. I think it detratcs a little (once seen )
