They do look pretty good, and more Naval figures are always welcome. I definitely will be picking up at least one set. One thing though, the photos show 3 sitting figures. Two are obviously for the 40mm Bofors mount, but does anyone have any idea what the third one is supposed to be doing? Al

Agreed --- ya can't get enough 35th scale Naval figures... But how about some more casual Pacific looking crew: shorts, short sleeve, ripped or no shirts, etc. The much more casual look that seemed to be more common with PT boat crews?

Hi
Saw the figures at the Scale Model World show Telford at the weekend, looked nice & cleanly moulded, some poses looked a little off but I was Impressed with the look of them.
Would be tempted with them if I build another PT Boat.
They were selling for £11.95 from about 3 different sellers.
If your building the Pt Boat they would be a great addition.

Hi Taffy 3. Moving left to right in the picture of ther painted up samples I think they go like this: Bofors, Bofors, 50 cal, 50 cal, Bofors, Bofors, helm, wandering sailor, 20mm, and 37mm. I have no idea why one of the 50 cal gunners would be sitting while the other is standing. I'd like to know where the officers are.
I've already bought 7 out of 8 of the Warriors crew members (they're outstanding by the way, though more than twice as expensive as Italeri's) but I may buy one set of Italeri's to use on other projects. You can't have enough 1/35 naval figures. I think Italeri could have done a better job on these, such as a little more diversity in uniforms and why is that guy wandering the deck when I'd rather see him doing something in the cockpit. My undrestanding is that these boats were difficult to operate and required one guy to steer and one to work the throttle.

I like the look of them and the above comments appear to follow that trend. I have both the LCM or LCVP in my stash. i look forward to seeing them first hand.

Hello Brian,You may already know this, Warriors makes a 2 figure Bridge crew set. It consists of 1 Officer and the Helmsman, and the Officer is posed working the throttles. The Italeri set would be worth it just for the Bofors crew. Warriors makes 2 sets of 2 figures for that gun at about $25(US) for each set. I have the 37mm gunner and 1of the .50 cal gunners, as well as the Bridge crew. They are nice figures, but being able to crew my boat without straining my wallet is even nicer. To add some variety to your crew, Hornet makes a set of 5 heads wearing sailor hats, and a set wearing GI helmets that can be used as replacements.
