I'm planning on converting Hobby-Fan's M48 Avlb kit into a M60. while I have a bunch of tech drawings and some pics , nothing shows the area where the piston attaches to the tank ,just in ftont of the turret ring. My question is was this area just a reinforced and welded drivers hatch or were the AVLBs purpose cast upper hulls with a solid deck in place of the regular drivers hatch and periscopes?
