Another dio depicting a weird combination of ajapanese seaplane in the wrong hands !!! after the surrender of japan US marines and airforce technicians took over Tateyama Naval Base. One of their tasks were to evaluate japanese aircrafts and prepare some to send back home for further testing.

This dio depicts one of these scenes where a USAF officer visits 2 technicians to discuss some details while a N1K1 dominates the background.

Great combo, not one you see every day. Chipping is good and not overdone in my opinion.

You should consider submitting a bit for an On Display feature.

I especially like the figure painting. Really well done in 1/48.
I do not like the tool box. Maybe with some wheatering it would be better. Also the carriage for the plane would be better with some colour variations, IMO.

Interesting subject!

Cheers

I've been hesitant about buying those ICM figures, but these look really nicely sculpted.

And you've done a very nice job painting them. I like the whole scene.

Great work

Looks like a great scene, except you may have got some silvering on the tail decal.

Please, an overall shot!

first of all thanx for your comments...

1. The tool box is discustingly brand new...thats because the uncle of the one technician whos a chief engineer in New Jersey send it to him as a present two days ago !!! patience ..in a couple of months it would be used as an old one (so i have a couple of months time)

2. Chas naughty boy....!!!! the bad thing is that the other side shows silvering as well !!!

3. the dolly was with lots of shades - even chipping - but in the last wash with rust pigments ended up like this...a mess with nearly one colour...

An overall picture will be presented when all these would get corrected.....
