Hey everyone.

I've jumped straight back in with this one. I'm basing it in early 1945-ish. Hitler has signed a deal with Stalin, in an attempt to stop the Russian advance on the east. The deal, half of Europe in exchange for military help on the western front.

I'm basing this one loosely, as you can see.

The idea is simple. On the western front, German troops were ordered to retreat to Berlin, under the cover of the Luftwaffe, who flew in the Allied dominated skies in heavier and heavier numbers, Joined by the Soviet airforce, the skies were reclaimed by the Luftwaffe in early july of 1945.
In may of that year, Allied forces pushed through into Berlin, only to be met with fierce opposition from German and Soviet technology.

For this diorama, I'm thinking the mid 50s. Berlin still hasn't been captured, Air support is out of the question, and the supply lines are running thin. Allied troops are holed up in a building, maybe a dozen or so, Eating breakfast with a sniper at the window. Rumbling by outside is a Tiger/T-62 combo. (I know the T-62 wasn't around till the 60s, but let your imagination run wild.)

Anyway, I demolished two old kits, and threw them both together. So far, i have the T-62 Chassis, with the turret from the Tiger, and an 88mm shield mounted to the front. This tank is supposed to be mobile artillery, although i don't know if i should change the main gun.
I'm thinking of replacing the suspension from the T-62 to the Tigers, just to make it more a Russo/German combo, any thoughts?
Ignore the fuel drum connected by drinking straw at the moment, That was just so i could get a feel of what i'd be doing with just the one fuel tank.

Pics.

Very cool model. The idea is outrageous. What about the Tamiya Leopard, from the 70's, wheels and suspension? Mounts extended from the front of the turret for the 88mm shield would allow for full rotation.
