I knocked off a couple more models. With this down turn in the Detroit area, I have been home quite a bit.

Tamiya's Willy's Jeep

Skybow's M38 Jeep

Both kits were a pleasure to build.

Enjoy,

Great job Mark.

You did both of those kits justice. I am currently building Tamiyas Jeep kit as a xmas present for my nephew Ashton who is 5. He loves Jeeps and I thought he might like getting one. I just hope it survives.

I have really enjoyed building it. Reminds me of being a kid again and enjoying this hobby.

Thanks for sharing. i need to get that Skybow M38 kit now.

Cheers
Jeff

Thanks Jeff,

I believe Skybow was bought by AFV Club.

Have a great Christmas,

Mark, nice jeeps but you have the wheels swapped back for front on the M38A1.This is a mistake that I myself have done. The center hubs on the front wheels on the real thing stick out further than the rear. The rear hubs are shorter. This is nothing against your build which is excellant but I have even seen this on Jeeps built by big name modelers in major magazines.Happy Modeling!!

Thanks for that. It seems having instruction isn't enough anymore. I have to print pictures of the real thing. for reference... LOL I should be doing that anyway.

I can't remember if the wheels are glued on or not.

Mark,

What colour did you use to paint the seats?

I am trying to paint mine and weather them a bit but not sure how to proceed.

Thanks

Jeff

Nice models you have there. I loved building mine, they're both good ones.

Isn't that M38 just a gem of a kit... I have a couple of them in my collection, great little kit.

Nice clean work, well done.

It is a gem of a kit. You've done very well on both. The figure turned out pretty well too. Nice detail with the chinstrap.
Can't understand why one of the "guruz" was badmouthing the M38 recently.

Badmouthing the M38A1 kit, really? What's wrong with it - it's cool...
