I'm thinking about building the new 1/48 Tamiya Marder and finishing it in Afrika Corps colors. What type of uniform would the crews have worn in that type of environment? Would figures from the new 1/48 Tamiya Afrika Corps set be usable?

They wore the tropical uniform, which was distributed to Heer and Panzer troops alike. Very broadly, the differences would be colour of piping, and insignia. So, yes, this set is suitable.
