Hi guys,
I'm working on the Italeri Hummer Command and I want to paint it in winter-camo.
Does anyone know what colour the canvas soft top has to be:
--plain green
--plain khaki
--winter camo
Hope someone knows the answer !!

If you are doing a US vehicle, we don't use any winter camo schemes. They just stay woodland or sand camo.
The canvas top comes in 3 types, depending on the timeframe. Up until about 1990, it only came in dark green. After Desert Storm ('91), they also came in sand. Around 2000-2001, they started coming in woodland camo as well.

Hi Gino,
Thanks for your quick reply !!
Does this mean that since the 3-tone camo was introduced the US does NOT use any winter camo-scheme anymore ?
If so, good to know, otherwise it would be a major error to paint an modern vehicle that way !!

That is correct. The US does not repaint vehicles in winter schemes any longer.
