I assume you are asking about making them, so there are several ways of doing them, one is the old tried and proved method of using tiny photo etched numbers from several manufactures, the other is the new wiz-bang easy to apply surface details from Archer.

If you question is about what they mean, sorry, not my area of expertize.

I should have been a little clearer....
I need the set of numbers as in = H in a circle #'s 36965 D
I'm not sure if this is right of wrong??
Please help me out.

look at various web sites all have some views of different Lee's and casting numbers all change as to year and such.

The casting marks on M3 S/N 2 are

{G} D 38530 293

where {G} is the ASF-Granite City G-in-octagon symbol. Note that ASF-Granite City was not the only foundry to produce M3 turrets.
