Hi,
I've done some figure working lately, for the dio I'm building there will be two NCO's from Verlinden; ref. 1131, wearing winter gear.
What kind of highlitghts and shades will you give to figures wearing mostly white patterns? What is the best thing that worked for you.
Just for now, Citadel Chaos Black primer was used and the base color Tamiya XF-2 has been applied with an airbrush.
Appreciate all your comments.
cheers

Hi Daniel,
Check out Calvin Tans site. In my opinion Calvin is the best painter of German uniforms and one of the very best at faces going..period.
http://zyclyon.blogspot.com, look for his Kharkov guys...
Although he may not say which colours he uses you get a good idea of how to paint winter camo clothing.
Hope this helps

Hi Peter,
I agree, Tan's technique is one of a kind, I also recommend his blog that you point out, I do usually follow his patterns but he sadly doesn't mention what "white blends he uses in his blog".

Also, what do you think about the WINTER/UN filter set by Mig productions (Sin industries); is it a good thing to use it also in figures?
I was thinking precisely at the Grey for bright White (P404)

Dani,
Check out the Osprey Modelling Falschirmjager title by your countryman Jaume Ortiz, he has quite a few white mixes in the final chapter
