Hi guys.
I need your advice again! I tried to put a light coating of snow down on the base of my dio but it cane out AWFUL!! Heres what I did. I used a thin mixture of white glue and baking soda at first it looked OK but after it dried it looked like I dumped the whole can on it. I thought it was thinned down pretty good. Any ideas? Scott

Scott, I've tried to use baking soda couple of times.. It can look good at first, but over the time it turns yellowish. You can try to use Microbaloons to simulate snow; it is some kind of marble dust that you sprinkle on your groundwork. I haven't used it yet, but I've heard it is the best product on the market to make snow...

Wolf,
Iīve tried hair spray and just alittle bit of baking soda. Works well for a light snow coating on ground and also trees etc. Just give it a light blow and voila! Hair spray doesnīt attach soda too well, but itīs ok if itīs the last thing you do.
See Diorama talk/Finnish Winter War, there is my own "snow project" going on....

I saw a container of model railroad snow at the hobbyshop. It was in a clear container with a red shaker top. I do not know the brand or the chemical composition, but I figure that it will not yellow on the model railroader's dioramas.

I've heard that people who use potato "fecule" are quite happy... It is flour made of potato.
I've tried it once but I had difficulties fixing it with white glue only.
