I am looking for some examples of shipping marks (I think that's what they are) on the doors of modern trucks and Hummers. They are usually written in white chalk on the drivers door and/or passengers door.

Google searches are not bringing up anything.

Thanks,
Mark L.

I believe you are referring to the convoy serial number that is written, usually in chalk, on the doors of vehicles in each march unit, serial and convoy. These are assigned to each vehicle in that part known as a serial, to identify convoy units for tracking purposes.

I imagine a white artists pencil would capture that look.

Mark,

You might want to look at this site for what you're looking for - www.archertransfers.com
If you go to the "Gallery" section and then to " miscellaneous", they have different transfers such as stencils, hand lettering with drips etc.

Thanks Guys,

I have the white pencil, all I need are some examples to get a feel of how to write my own.

Maybe I will renew my search to include convoy numbers.
